Eclipse

I was a part of the foyer show on Friday 13th May at Wimbledon College.
I showed 'Eclipse', a glowing orb with a circular hole in the top that acts as an experiment into light and perception. In a dark enough space, the orb hangs alone in the darkness burning colour after colour onto the eye, almost enough to distort its own colours like in James Turrell's 'Sustaining Light'.

Viewed from above, a crisp, brightly coloured circle glows from within the orb. But with one eye closed, this circle becomes a sphere hanging in space and moving in front of the dimmer orb.
